I'm not seeing chat messages show up in rooms until I navigate away from them and navigate back.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open app.flotilla.social (also reproduced on shipwreck.scuttle.works running a dev branch)
  2. Open a space (reproduced on meta.spaces.coracle.social and relay.scuttle.works)
  3. Open a text channel
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 in another browser or device so that you have two instances of Flotilla looking at the same room
  5. Send a chat message to the room
    Expected: The chat message shows up instantly in both
    Actual: The chat message only shows up on the device that sent it. The other device will not see the message until you navigate to another room or space and come back.

Hi @mplorentz and @hodlbod, I tried reproducing this on my end using:

  1. The same text channel on two different devices
  2. Two different browsers on the same device
  3. Both private and public chat rooms

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue in any of these cases.

I was able to replicate this on coracle-relay.ngrok.io in zen browser (one regular tab, one private)

There are a few other things I'm seeing too:

  • Requests to join rooms aren't showing up in admin queue
  • Space member list isn't getting updated in real time
